Terms.
The agreement for using Cornerstone — Athlete Mindset. Plain terms for a free service, written to be readable.
These terms are a working draft. They have not been reviewed by an attorney, are not legal advice, and must be reviewed and approved by qualified counsel — including the operating entity and governing-law choices flagged below — before launch.
1. Acceptance
By using Cornerstone — Athlete Mindset (the "Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. The Service
Cornerstone is a daily devotional and mental-performance companion for Christian athletes. It is and will remain free for individuals and families — no subscription, no premium tier, no ads. The Service is currently in early accessand is provided on an "as-is" basis while we build it; features may change, and availability is not guaranteed during this period.
3. Accounts & eligibility
You're responsible for your account and for keeping your login secure. Households may create profiles for multiple athletes. Accounts and profiles for minors must be created and supervised by a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for that child's use of the Service. Eligibility and any age thresholds are subject to the legal review noted above.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything unlawful or harmful.
- Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that aren't yours.
- Copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute the Service's content except as expressly allowed.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its security.
5. Content & intellectual property
Reflections, cues, and original writing in Cornerstone are owned by Cornerstone or its licensors. Scripture quotations are used under the terms of their respective translations (NIV by default; ESV and CSB among others). Quoted material from athletes, coaches, and authors remains the property of its owners and is used for commentary and devotional purposes. Anything you write — your journals — remains yours.
6. Organizations
Academies, schools, and athletic departments can deploy Cornerstone across their athletes through a paid organizational tier. That deployment is governed by a separate agreement; see For Organizations.
7. Not professional advice
Cornerstone offers devotional and mental-performance content for general encouragement. It is not medical, psychological, mental-health, or professional advice, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional. If you are in crisis or need help, please contact a licensed professional or your local emergency services.
8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, Cornerstone and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. The precise disclaimer and liability language is subject to legal review.
9. Changes & termination
We may update the Service and these terms over time. If we make a meaningful change, we'll update the date below. We may suspend or end access that violates these terms. You can stop using the Service at any time.
10. Governing law
These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA (placeholder — operating entity and governing-law jurisdiction to be confirmed in legal review), without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
