Privacy.
Cornerstone is built to collect as little as possible. This page explains what we collect, why, and the things we will never do — written to match the promises we make everywhere else on this site.
This policy is a working draft prepared to reflect Cornerstone's intended practices. It has not yet been reviewed by an attorney and is not legal advice. It must be reviewed and approved by qualified counsel before launch.
What we collect
We collect only what's needed to give you the experience:
- Account — your email address, used to sign in and to reach you about the service.
- Profile — a display name, sport, and (for households) the profiles you create for each athlete.
- Engagement— your streaks, badges, favorites, and the reflections or cues you've opened, so the app can track your habit and personalize the day's content.
- Journals — anything you choose to write. Journaling is optional, and journal entries are private to the athlete.
- Early access — if you sign up for early access before the app launches, we store your email and an optional name, and nothing else.
What we never do
- No protected health information (PHI). Cornerstone is a devotional and mindset companion, not a medical or health service. We do not collect or store PHI.
- No ads, ever. There is no advertising in Cornerstone, and we do not build advertising profiles.
- No tracking across the web. We do not use third-party advertising trackers, cross-site cookies, or device fingerprinting.
- No selling or sharing for marketing. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
How we use what we collect
We use your information to operate the app, deliver the daily reflection, keep your streaks and journal, respond when you contact us, and keep the service secure. That's the whole list. We do not use your content to target advertising, because there isn't any.
Where your data lives
Cornerstone's data is stored with Supabase, our database and authentication provider, on infrastructure located in the United States. The early-access signup list is insert-only for the public — the website can add your email to it, but the list cannot be read from the browser.
Analytics
If we use analytics, we use only privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics (such as Vercel Web Analytics) that do not use cookies, do not fingerprint your device, and do not collect personally identifying information. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or similar tracking.
Children & families
Cornerstone is for Christian athletes of every age, and many are minors — junior players whose parents set them up. Household profiles for children are intended to be created and managed by a parent or guardian, who controls the account and the limited information in it. We keep children's data to the same minimum as everyone else's, and we never serve ads or behavioral tracking to anyone, including children.
Parents and guardians: this section, and our handling of data for users under 13, must be reviewed against COPPA and any applicable children's-privacy laws before launch. If you believe a child has given us information without the proper consent, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information, or to remove your email from the early-access list, at any time. Reach us through the contact pageand we'll take care of it. When you delete your account, we delete the data associated with it, except anything we're required to keep for legal reasons.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date below and, where appropriate, let you know in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
